The Kick-off meeting of the cluster' Electronic Management and Trading of
Intellectual Property (http://www.ispo.cec.be/ecommerce/iprcluster.htm) was
held in Brussels on 27 January 1999. The cluster is a grouping of existing
and future EC projects (under the Fifth Framework Programme)involved with
electronic transfer and trade of digital content to which rights are
associated. The grouping aims to support the industrial and commerical
take-up of these projects.
European electronic commerce projects attended the meeting to share
experiences and consider future research opportunities. A report by Robin
Yeates, Senior Researcher, LITC, who attended the meeting on behalf of the
Telematics for Libraries projects PRIDE and CANDLE,is available from the
