On 23 and 24 April, European experts will meet in Copenhagen to clarify
questions raised by the development of digital signatures and encryption in
electronic trade. Jointly organised by the European Commission and the
Danish Government, the meeting will be an opportunity to examine market
trends, business needs and legal issues. Although the hearing does not aim
at agreement on a formal declaration, it could lead to subsequent political
decisions at European and member state level.
