Digital Object Identifier (DOI) European Workshop,

DGXIII of the European Commission, in association with the DOI
Foundation and EDItEUR, the European group for electronic commerce in
books and serials, is organising a workshop for potential European users
to provide input to the development of DOI at this crucial stage.
The one-day workshop will take place in Luxembourg from 9.00 to 16.00
on Wednesday 20 May and is open to librarians, intermediary services,
bibliographic agencies, publishers and system vendors. There will be no
charge for the workshop but participants are expected to pay for their
own travel and subsistence costs. Attendance is limited to 50
participants, who must first complete a questionnaire (by 24 April 1998)
to indicate interests. The questionnaire is available from the European
