COPINET PROJECT - Billing Systems for Open Access Networked
Information Resources
Project trial extended until end of March
Partly funded by the European Union, Libraries Programme, the COPINET
project has developed a system for evaluation charging, billing schemes
for electronic publishing. Full information can be found at the project

and the demonstration system can be tested at:
http://www.dtv.dk/copinet/
The demonstration system contains over 100,000 records from the
INSPEC database covering European literature in the fields of electronics
and computing since 1994, combined with the full-text to 10,000 journal,
conference and colloquium papers published by The Institution of
Electrical Engineers since 1994.
The system supports the following features:
* Registered users with an account
* Unregistered users with credit cards
* Unregistered users with DigiCash ecash
You can test the registered user and credit card payment systems by
clicking on 'demo' at :
http://www.dtv.dk.copinet/
On the main page click on 'New Account' and fill in your name, address
and e-mail details. Confirmation of your registered account and credit card
number will be sent to you by e-mail.
(Please note that dummy credit cards are used - no payment is requested
from account users!)
If you would like to try out the e-cash payment system, (you must be
prepared to download software from the Web and install it) please e-mail
your request to Franck Falcoz - franck@dtv.dk giving also your full name,
address, telephone, and fax numbers.
