Dear participants SG meeting,
I welcome you all to Prague to our SG meeting, June 15 - 16. These
days the weather is cold and not very nice (10-13°C during day time
and rainy) but I hope that in 10 days it will change. Hotel Olga is a
very new one. It started as a hotel in last years after restitution
and reconstruction from ordinary block living house (the house is
from the beginning of the 20th century, so it is art nouveau style, I
think). The address is Janovskeho 50, Praha 7, tel. 420-2-801600. It
is close to Parkhotel and Exhibition area (Vystaviste). I will meet
you there in the evening at 18.30 and will go with you to restaurant
CORSO where will be our dinner party on Thirsday 14th night.
The main work with organization of the SG meeting made Tuula.
We also asked the Czech National Library to help the organization and
probably Ms Tulachova will do it and I hope she will contact you
during this week especially for the Friday evening program (probably
opera) and will ask you who will join us to go there. I can pick up
and drive some of you from the airport in the Thursday afternoon to
the hotel Olga (up to 14.00 I have the state examinations at the
University). So write me the time of your arrivals to the Prague
airport.
I also will manage our group on Friday morning to get from
the hotel Olga to Klementinum. Unfortunately, the crossing at the
National Theater is now under reconstruction and there is no public
trafic serving directly to Klementinum. But we can go by tram No. 12
to the Lesser Town Square tram stop (Malostranske namesti) and over
the Charles Brigde just to Klementinum. It is 15 minutes by tram and
another 10 minutes walking. Or you can go by tram No. 12 to tram stop
Klarov and then by Metro to the Metro stop Staromestska and then 5
minuts walking to Klementinum.
I hope that we will meet again (donīt remember to arrange the visa,
if needed).
