Update on the copyright Directive
We are still awaiting official publication of the EU copyright
Directive, which was adopted by the Council of Ministers on 9 April
2001. The Directive is awaiting signature by the President of the
European Parliament, now expected on 5-6 June. So, the Directive
may be published in the EU Official Journal (OJ) in mid-June. This
would mean that the Directive should be implemented nationally by
December 2002.
