The Regional Crises In Indonesia
On 12 June 2003 the Committee of 100 in Finland arranges a seminar at Peace Station
in Helsinki dealing with the regional crises in Indonesia, with focus on Aceh and Papua.
The seminar is a part of a weeks program in Finland, in which five NGO activists from Aceh, Papua
and Jakarta participate. In the seminar there will be presentations by the guests from
Indonesia as well as by Finnish experts. The primary language in the seminar is english.

The main objectives of the seminar are
- To pass on information on the topic for Finnish NGO actors, researchers, students, international solidarity activists as well as all others interested in the regional crises in Indonesia
- To further dialogue between the different stakeholders in the region and to improve communication between Finnish foreign policy makers, researchers and human rights and solidarity activists.
- To sprout ideas for finding new solutions for transforming the conflicts and avoiding further violence and to look forward towards peace
