Deaer All,

The European Commission, DG XV, has published an invitation to tender for a
study contract concerning moral rights in the context of the exploitation
of works through digital technology. The analysis to be carried out should
cover possible disparaties in legislation and jurisprudence and practice,
in relation to the protection of moral rights within the EU, particularly
with regard to the specific characteristics of exploitation through digital
technology. It should include a study of contractual practices and evaluate
the economic impact of the new technologies on right holders and on the
smooth functioning of the Internal Market.

Tnder documents should be requested no later than 6 November 1998. The
final date for receipt of tenders is 20 November.
