Zone therapy
is an ancient treatment based on the concept that the whole body is reflected especially in the sole of the foot. The method has probably been used by primitive people since 2000 years BC. The technique was documented in China ca 2440 BC and has also been described at the Nubian Pharaos from ca 2330 BC. Reflexology was redisvovered by physician William Fitzgerald (1872-1942) who used is for anesthetical purposes during operations. Fitzgerald's disciple masseur Eunice Ingham developed his ideas and refined the technique into what he called compression massage.

Modern reflexology
is zone therapy for the whole body. The method was developed by Karl-Axel Lind in Sweden. Modern reflexology treats the reflex zones of the whole body.

Shiatsu
is based on Japanese 'anma' massage. During the last millenium it has been complemented with Chinese and Western medicine. In the beginning of the 20th century it became known as Shiatsu. Shiatsu means finger pressure. Shiatsu increases the body's power to heal itself, prevents illnesses and generally increases well-being.

Shamanic healing
