Helsinki 1999.
This research undertakes an extensive
overview of international conventions and other instruments
that seek to address the multifarious concerns of women. It
pinpoints problems, limits and challenges relating to the
applicability of the human rights model as a tool to address
women's concerns. The study also makes a number of suggestions
on steps to take in order to enhance the applicability and
effectiveness of that model to address the status and concerns
of women.
