Hurrarwhat?!

You have clicked into a collection of websites maintained in Finland.
The common denominator for these sites are their language. In short, this collection tries to help people in finding Finnish-Swedish websites.
Swedish is the second official language in Finland, and is spoken by approximately 300.000 people. Nonwithstanding the small size of the population (a little less than 6%), there is a lot of activity on the web that is connected to the culture of swedish-speaking Finns.
It can be compared with the language-group's activity in other fields, such as literature, film-making, theatre and art, all of which are very much alive. We are in a unique position to collect all, or almost all, of the information in Swedish that is being published on the Web in Finland, and link them.
At least, that is what we are trying to do.

Our pages are in Swedish, but we have a version of our front page in English. Due to our small staff, we cannot yet maintain a completely English site, and anyway, the pages we link to are in Swedish. But we more than welcome all suggestions about sites in English that have information about Finnish-Swedes. A modest page with a few links in English is available.
