Re: Scientific reference service-

Yes, it is truly amazing what technology can accomplish.
And although there is much talk in the various press
releases about "access", the main stumbling blocks to
access -- the further commodification of knowledge and
increased control of copyright by publishers ---are not
even mentioned. Academic research in journals, whether
scientific or nonscientific, is becoming more and more like
Christmas shopping at Amazon.com

Scholars everywhere should not rejoice.
