Dear Steering Group members,
On 24 September the ECUP Steering Group will meet in
London with copyrights owners, collecting societies and subscription
agents to discuss the ECUP Position on the user rights in electronic
publications and a set of heads of agreements for the use of
electronic publications.
We have found representatives of the collecting societies from all
over Europe and we have invited representatives of EBSCO and
Swetts. I am still looking for representatives of the publishing sector
from other countries than the UK and the Netherlands. At the
moment representatives of the following publishing houses will
attend the meeting:
- Academic Press
- Elsevier Science
- Blackwell Science
- Chadwyck-Healey
- Kluwer Academic Publishers
- Cartermill Publishing
- John Wiley
- Routledge
- ISI
- Springer Verlag
- Harcourt Brace
Does anybody has contact with a publisher in France, Italy or Spain
who publishes electronically who we could invite for the ECUP
meeting on 24 September in London.
