ANNOUNCEMENT
"Intelligent" software may simplify Internet searches!
Recently a small UK company launched "intelligent" software that it
claims will solve two of the biggest problems posed by the Internet -
how to find useful information among millions of available documents
and how to block access to online information. The company is
called: AutoNomy and is a spin-off from Cambridge
Neurodynamics, based at the Cambridge University.
Based on neural network pattern recognition - which emulates the
way the human brain works - the software includes search tools that
take their instructions in plain English and learn form their mistakes.
The search tools, which are known as "intelligent agents", can be
told what to look for and then come back with a prioritised list.
