The Film College is a combination of a folk academy concentrating on cinema, and an advanced learning centre for cinema professionals.

The school consists of a main building, a residential hall, and the dwellings of the teachers. There are two movie theatres, some studios, workshops and classrooms, the administrative premises and a restaurant in the main building. The plywood-clad warehouses protruding from the facade of the school building, the redbrick recording studio and the kitchen building of copper create a scale reminiscent of a small Danish town.
