The five-storey apartment buildings form an open, park-like residential quarter which in the cityscape extends from the Koskela hospital park area from the north while joining the open city structure of the surrounding townscape from the 30's. The eaves are on a level with the other buildings in the area, with the exception of one taller building in the apex of the triangle on the edge of the square. There are business premises on its ground floor. The massing of the buildings and the surrounding building stock is peaceful and the external surface uniform.
