The site situated on the corner of Meritullintori square and Pohjoisranta street is, with its protected industrial buildings, part of the oldest centre of Helsinki city.

Two new blocks of flats were built between old blocks, which now function as office space. The concrete structures of the buildings have partly been made of elements, and partly been cast on site. The masonry facades were mainly built and rendered on site; the plinth of the raised ground floor is of granite and the walls are of polished coloured concrete.
