The annex of phase one of the Central Terminal houses waiting rooms, departure gates, shops, a congress centre, office facilities, the new control tower, and a connection between the two other terminals. Alterations to the present international terminal included the terminal hotel, shops, the passport security checkpoint, a new staircase and lift connections.

The exterior is dominated by the control tower on the corner of the terminal. The facades are of greenish glass and silvery metal. The main materials used indoors are silver-grey steel, bright or sand-blasted greenish glass, steel-grey laminate, and the triangular granite patterns of the flooring.
