This plan is a modern interpretation of traditional Ostrobothnian rustic inner courtyards. The spiralling mass of buildings creates a sheltered sacral courtyard opening on to a landscape of fields. The parish building is situated at the highest point of the area; its cladding fits the traditional landscape of the river bank.

The parish hall houses the deaconess' reception quarters; it functions both as hobby and club premises for children and teenagers and a venue for various activities and ecclesiastical events.
